They have no bald spots, no rips, no stains, and clean. Only the top of the plastic box cover is somewhat damaged but does not effect the condition of the bears themselves.
This set would be a great addition to any Steiff or toy collection. Not really intended to give to a young child to play with. Margarete Steiff, founder of the Steiff Toy company in Western Germany created her first animal, a felt elephant in 1880. In 1902, Steiff created the teddy bear and invented the first plush animal with rod disc joints. Steiff has become and still is the leading manufacturer of high-quality toys and collectors' items.
